Rodeo Time with Dale Brisby

Hosted by Dale Brisby

Dale Brisby is the most recognizable cowboy on the internet โ€” a professional bull rider, rancher, social media phenomenon, and the self-proclaimed greatest bull rider who ever lived. Behind the signature mustache and larger-than-life persona is Clint Hopping, born May 21, 1987, in Texas, where he grew up on a ranch with a father who was a member of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. The cowboy life wasn't an act โ€” it was the family business.

Brisby's rodeo career began in the classic progression: mutton busting, then steers, then bulls. He competed through college rodeo at Texas A&M University, where he earned both a bachelor's and a master's degree in Agriculture in 2011. The combination of academic knowledge in livestock management and hands-on ranching experience gave him a unique perspective that would later inform both his content and his business ventures.

In 2013, he founded Rodeo Time Inc. and began posting videos to YouTube in 2014. What followed was unlike anything the western world had seen: a cowboy who could rope, ride, and ranch with genuine skill, but who delivered it all with the comedic timing of a professional entertainer. His catchphrases โ€” "It's Rodeo Time," "Ol' Son," "Keeping it 90," "Pow Pow" โ€” became the vocabulary of a generation of young rodeo fans. His YouTube channel has accumulated over 60 million views and his combined social media following exceeds one million across platforms.

He manages Radiator Ranch, a working cattle operation near Newcastle, Texas, alongside his brother Leroy Gibbons and a crew of ranch hands who became characters in their own right. In September 2021, Netflix released How to Be a Cowboy, a six-episode docuseries starring Brisby and featuring appearances from world champion bull rider J.B. Mauney, legendary horseman Craig Cameron, and world champion bullfighter Cody Webster. The show introduced Brisby's world to a global audience far beyond the rodeo circuit. He also made a cameo appearance in the hit series Yellowstone, roping on the 6666 Ranch set.

Beyond media, Brisby has built a thriving merchandise empire through Rodeo Time, selling apparel, hats, and accessories that have become staples at rodeos and western events across the country. His podcast, Rodeo Time with Dale Brisby, brings his signature blend of humor, cowboy wisdom, and genuine love for the western lifestyle to long-form conversations with rodeo athletes, ranchers, country music artists, and fellow cowboys. It's unscripted, unfiltered, and unapologetically cowboy.
